Greeting, ya lil poods! Welcome to PART 2 of an episode favorite: FOODGASM! Haven’t listened to Part 1 yet?
Ya ever had a sandwich before?! Well, good thing there’s two halves. We love SHOW NOTES! Thanks for joining us for another week of cannasister shenanigans. We love talking about food so much, we had to split this episode in two! Catch the first part of this episode, Foodgasm Part 1, released last week. You might remember last week’s fave small business, Coops West Texas BBQ right here in San Diego. Nom nom. This week’s small business is so good, we have an entire feature episode. Check out Part 2’s feature on our local favorite, @_pickleandbrine!
If you had to escape to as desert island and only take 5 foods with you, what would they be? Adrianna takes it away with her 64 uses of olive oil, while Kelli can live off a ginger root; *tight*! If you love nostalgic childhood foods, Beef Stroganoff Hamburger helper, or casseroley goulash, then you’ll love the slop we slap on your plate.
Thank you, everyone, for you patience in streaming our most recent episodes! We have recently switched production, and unbeknownst to us, our episodes haven’t been syncing to our SPOTIFY! In the meantime, you can catch episode 5 and 6 of SEASON 2 on Google Podcast and Apple podcasts! 🙂 all will be well on Spotify ASAP; thanks for the lovin’!
A note on production-
Starting episode 4 of season 2, S2E4, Adrianna and I are producing our own episodes. Thank you, immensely, to Justin @mixedbytruelove for being our tride and true producer for over 24 episodes! Adrianna and Kelli are adamant about their entrepreneurship; we used to fear podcasting, and look! We nailed it. We used to fear our cannabis use! Look, we nailed it. And we used to fear producing our own episodes but look, we nailed it 🙂 Thanks for all the feedback as we start to master DJ ZEEZ and all she has to offer 🙂
Wassap lil San Deezies? We are here with one of our favorite episodes to date, talking all things food! This week, we talk about our favorite San Diego restaurants, the dishes that we grew up on as kids, and, well, those 5 foods you’d take with you on a deserted island. Orange you glad you diddn’t say bananas? Give us some lovin’: IG: @karmasdpodcast. We love our Italian word of the day! Tune in for our Sicilian slang for your frowning face. We dive deeper into the Blunt History of Beef Stroganoff, a Russian dish, as well as the suspish details of this beefy situation. We grew up on the Beef Stroganoff that came in a box (hello hamburger helper!!!) but, this dish can be served with bread-buns, rice, or noodles! Check out Pomegranate in San Diego, an amazing Russian restaurant that Adrianna cannot get enough of! Our small business of the week is Coop’s West Texas BBQ in Lemon Grove! Adrianna tells delicious tales of the best cornbread she has ever had, tender ribs, homemade sauce, and the dankest potato salad you have ever been served. We absolutely love American BBQ, and Coop’s delivers. It is so fantastic that we are comfortable saying the word ‘moist’ to describe their cornbread! We are literally running there, check out their menu here: Coops West Texas BBQ | Smoked barbecue and southern-style food in Lemon Grove, CA (coopsbbq.com)
Pork Chops and Applesauce- name that iconic phrase! Kelli grew up on this dish, and Adrianna has no idea what the hell I am talking about. Tune in for a homemade recipe of some childhood dishes, including Kelli’s family recipe- White Trash Goulash. Pray to St. Beshemel, because we have a lot of history to cover! We can’t believe Age has never had a PB&J! Sponsor us for one, and we’ll show you the world. Today’s creature comforts include a hefty portion of Mimosa, as well as a House OG outdoor grow provied by TruMeds Deliver Service. We love our delivery driver, Valentino! Smoke a joint our four, we love our air as thick as a roux. Love ya! Follow us @karmasdpodcast
What’s up, lil poods? Buckle up for a sultry episode; we have a special guest in the house! Korn is our religion, woven memories of wonder have been made, and exoskeletons of joints are scattered amongst us. Join us in meeting a man of plants, contemplation, and California Quails: Josh Corder! Creature comforts this episode? Redbull is definitely the most shocking in today’s lineup. In addition, we are normalizing cannabis by partaking in not one, not two, but three strains throughout this week’s podcast: Double Dream, Peanut Butter Souffle, and Mimosa! No wonder we have sweat dripping down to our elbows. First things first, we always have Great Housekeeping to attend to! Some people rush home to kick up their feet, some rush home to wash the dishes and wipe down surfaces with too much enthusiasm. I think you all know what kind of gals we are! The California Quail, is indeed, the state bird of California and a huge part of the history, spirituality and lifestyle of the Kumeyaay peoples, mentioned last episode! Our special guest today is also, indeed, a California Quail. Let us wait no further, please get to know our very special guest, Josh! Some takeaways? There are two types of people: those who order weed based off the strain properties, and those who order off the jazzy name alone. Josh researches the weed before smoking it, and we actually learn things about our creature comforts today. Verses when Adrianna and Kelli talk about weed, we usually get as far as, ‘ooh this sounds pretty’. We love a Josh! His history with growing sacred plants, food, and hydroponics will leave ya drooling. If you need a landscaper with an eye for using SD native plants and flowers, connect with Josh through his instagram: @bodhi_sligh We are honestly shocked that we used both the phrase ‘spookie dookie’ and the phrase ‘nookie cookie’ in this episode over 30 minutes apart from one another. Sounds cosmic to us! We hope you leave inspired with some of Josh’s cannabis bowl art, striving to achieve the perfect yin and yang symbol in your glass piece. We have a word of the day! VOMCOM, as defined by Josh, is almost self-explanatory. Tune in to listen to the proper catigorization of Romantic Comedies, the kind of bird Josh would be, and further detail on his favorite local business! Josh introduces us to – Lost Cause Meadery, a mead brewery local here to San Diego that he has been a fan and patron of for many years. Learn more about sacred honey wine, and this small business, by streaming our episode on Spotify, Google Podcasts, and Apple Podcasts! Hoot hoot! Thanks for joining us Josh, it was a pleasure having you. As always, reach out if you have any feedback, lovebeams, or requests to be one of our special guests! We love ya- IG:@karmasdpodcast
Grab your backpacks, because we are taking you to school! What’s a flume? What’s a Trumper Tantrum? Let’s putz no longer; greetings, ya lil poods! We are so excited to call you Lil Poods from here-on-out. Maybe it’s because we are scared and anxious poodles, maybe it’s because we are professional poodcasters…it’s tough to say. You have been named, and you can sigh a sweet relief that we will not call you Lil San Deezies as often as before. Ya Welcome… We kick off each week with our local business/artist first, because we are adamant about supporting local. Not sponsored, just the real deal. Spoiler alert: these artists don’t know we are selecting them until our launch date!!!
Adrianna introduces us to an amazing artist for this week’s Business Feature: Carlos aka Primo Dirty! Carlos is a singer, songwriter, rapper, philanthropist and San Diego Native that leaves a beautiful fingerprint on this place we call home. We love our community philanthropists! Carlos is very active in our community with consistent outreach, activism, and events in support of Black Lives Matter. Vida Negra Importa! His curated events keep the collective alive and conscious with thought-provoking art and emphasis on anti-racism work. What a dream! Wait til you hear his music…
Saturday January 16th, join Carlos for Vida Negra Importa Music Protest for the people. Support your local black and brown artists in the heart of San Diego. In addition, Carlos will putting on a future (2021) community events that includes awareness of the Kumeyaay land and peoples, the very emphasis of our episode. It will include music, artists, local vendors, and a clothing/food/supply drive for those in need. Beautiful, we’ll be there.

We love you, Carlos! This week is a heavy one! Adrianna and Kelli are born and raised San Diegans with nary a glimpse into the history of the place we call home. In support of #kumeyaayNation, A & K look into the real and gruesome roots of San Diego. We aren’t happy! Our Catholic upbringing glorified the monuments that celebrated the genocide of indigenous, Native peoples, and it isn’t sitting well. Unearth with us, as we give a blunt history on something our direct, white community needs to know about. Some of the websites we referred to during our podcast:viejasbandofkumeyaay.org Listen up, SD whiteys. Adrianna and Kelli come from Catholic schooling, so we have a few experiences that offer context to the colonization of SD:-our 4th grade ‘Mission Project’ glorifying the invasion of Mexico, Kumeyaay Land, and California-the glorification of Juan Diego, Cabrillo, and fellow colonizers of this territory-education with the impression that our relationship with the Native peoples was peaceful (using words like ‘Resolutions’ and ‘Peace Treaty’ does not negate genocide) Creature comforts this episode? Thanks for normalizing cannabis with us! Adrianna rolls us up some Eagle Scout! Thanks, merm. In addition, we love rice cakes, cucumbers, Baba Roasted Garlic Hummus, and some Blueberry Lemonade Bubbly. Yaaaas. We love you, lil poods! Join us on IG, we’d love to hear from you @karmsdpodcast
Greetings, lil San Deezies! No need to sugar coat it; Adrianna hates baby corns and we aren’t sure what to do about it. That grinchy-finger sitch needs to get away from her faccia. Our takeaways from this episode? Men don’t get pulled over, CBD products belong on every surface of your bod, and no one wants your ‘tude, ya pood. Jokes keep rigamarollin off our tongue; you’re in for a real treat! Our main course this episode is discussing all things left-handed! Both Kelli, and Adrianna’s v. Italian father, are left-handed, and we have a lot to say about it. While being lefty has some advantages (like typing on a keyboard and being a baseball legend) it also leaves a few smudges. Sit back, relax, and grab your creature comforts! We are so excited to talk about this week’s small business! Skyler of Toy Blossom Co. has curated an incredible company: a woman owned, raw and organic material based, crafted by hand CBD product line! Adrianna takes some time sharing some of her favorite products to rub all over her faccia, as well as her pain management remedies. Toy Blossom Co.’s 250mg Muscle Rub. Yo will have ya tossing your icy hot in the gar-baje. The 250mg CBD muscle rub was designed specifically to aid muscles and joints from swelling and inflammation. Infused with 250mg of CBD, menthol, eucalyptus and wintergreen oils, this goodgood provides a natural cooling effect for immediate relief.
We love Skyler; thank you for such an incredible San Diego-based business!
IG: @toyblossomcoMaking up only 10-12% of the population, are lefties naturally high achievers because we use a predominately different side of the brain? Or, are left-handies more capable because they are forced to adapt? In a world that ignores whether or not you are left-handed, we can’t help but notice the high achievements of many famous lefties, including: Seth Rogan, Nikola Tesla, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerburg, Oprah, Barack Obama, Michaelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Babe Ruth, David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, Keanu Reeves, Gordon Ramsay, Jerry Seinfeld, Ringo Starr, Helen Keller, and Lady Gaga to name a few! Tune in next week for local San Diego small business features, some fantastic San Diego history, and some Great Housekeeping, ya filthy birds. Follow us on Instagram! @Karma San Diego
Greetings, New Year Earthlings! We are so excited to launch our second season of Karma San Diego Podcast. Wow, we are serious about housekeeping, because we kick off the episode with all our loose odds and ends. Thank you to @mysticmarls, the winner of our Holiday Giveaway! Marlene entered our giveaway and helped promote our lil’ pood, and we are so grateful for your support and friendship. *long sigh wow*
For this episode, we discuss all things Normalizing Cannabis. From social stigma to coexisting, Kelli and Adrianna discuss their history with cannabis and talk about a better and brighter future. As privileged white women, we try our best to educate and stand proudly in our cannabis usage to help normalize, legalize, and bypass the bullshit. It is our duty as cannabis consumers to let all beings of this earth benefit from the plant, and incarceration and miseducation is heavy on our noggins.
Our new tradish! Kicking off the episode with our favorite small business, Kelli talks all about Kristen Pritchard photography, our very favorite landscape and high-vibing photographer in San Diego. Not only has she photographed all of our friends, but she is a phenomena yoga teacher with heavy ties to the earth, land, and spirit. We love a Kristen. Kelli recently ordered a favorite print from her, ‘New Friend’, which shows off a glowing cow that will make anyone with a heart sob. Check out Kristen’s website at kristenpritchardphoto.com as well as her instagram, @kristenpritchardphotography #orangesweatergals
What can we do to help normalize cannabis? We loved what growerschoiceseeds.com had to say. Some of this week’s episode takeaways:-education of cannabis to younger generations, which includes teaching your kids about cannabis pros and cons so that they have a well-rounded outlook on the plant, rather than a biased one filled with stigma.- don’t let your friends and family fall for the media stereotypes! correct em and show off what cannababes are all about.-vote on cannabis regulations and laws, including jailtime for cannabis which has got to go.
-Smoking on air is one of the many things we do to help and support our cannabis community. Let’s talk creature comforts! I am not kitting when I say that these prerolls are the best weed that we have ever smoked. For Yuletide, Adrianna got Kelli some keef-rolled prerolls from Baby Jeeters, and gah-lee (phonetical GOLLY), these are a white chocolate dream. We follow @passthejeeters for some high-class content- we are seriously in love with their product and they made a phenomenal stocking stuffer! Other than that, just a good old cup of coffee and crunchy ass corn chips will accompany your ear holes. Buckle up Buttercup, 2021 is here! We love you-
Send us any love beams, feedback, and special guest requests to our email! firstname.lastname@example.org Catch Season 1 Now before we lock it away! We are so excited to start a second season ! Join us for a whole lotta entertainment, local, cannababe action with Adrianna and Kelli for Season 2, starting in 2021! Same time, same date. Listen to us weekly; we post new episodes every Saturday at midnight.
Can you believe we are wrapping up our first season? We are so proud and excited to reflect on our first year of podcasting, local summer nights, and this friggin pandemic. We’ve been aged in the barrels for a few years, so listen up lil San Deezies!
This week’s creature comforts are classic combos of coffee and cannabis, yum. Kelli ordered True Meds delivery of Summer Nights, a hyphy sativa blend that is perfect for December. If you are from a coastal town, then you know that the true locals summer is in, well, the winter! San Diego has been showing off glorious weather and we are loving the locals only vibes. Goodbye crowds, we never missed you.
Adrianna listens intently to Kelli’s story of being 30, seasoned, and wine boosh. White girl wasted and frivolously spending too much money on a Cab Sav, hear about a magical trip to the mountains! It’ll energize you like CAH-CAINE, err, Cacao does on a bright sunny Saturday.
This week’s small business is close to our heart, as Kelli has been eating from Sipz Vegetarian Restaurant for years! We love @sipzcafe and I seriously order garlic fries, a Thai iced tea and summer rolls every week. EVERY WEEK.
Would you buy a coffee table book of Poshmark Idiots? Well look out and watch your Amazon carts, because we really have something good here. Thanks for an amazing season everyone, and get ready for a really exciting SEASON 2 with some fantastic new features, guests, and *cough cough* weeeeeeeeeee-d!
You know it’s gonna be a good episode when its 1 hour and 11 minutes!
Woow, what a sacred number. GOLLY- these two gals are trying not to cuss as much, as needed. Sometimes, you need alternatives, aka when you get visceral reactions from others when you drop a motherfucker ass bomb. It happens, man. And so, we try out new dad phrases, and we hope you enjoy this week’s tips and tricks for selling on Poshmark, shopping sustainably, and stuffing your mouth with food n’ weed! As tradition, we feature Great Housekeeping-Adrianna reminds us that Kelli never told her ghost story! Tune in for our Matilda experiences with doors; drop a line if you’ve ever had some spooky door stories. We’d lurve to hear them!
My arm is racing!
